CARE AND PREPARATION – MIXED GREENS BOUQUET

DIY Bulk Flower Guide

Your mixed greens bouquet includes a variety of fresh greenery with different textures and needs. Please follow these steps upon arrival:

  1. Unpack immediately. Carefully remove the bouquet from the box to avoid damaging delicate foliage.
  2. Remove packaging. Take off all wrapping and gently untie the stems.
  3. Separate varieties. If possible, separate the different types of greenery so they can hydrate properly and regain their natural shape.
  4. Clean stems. Rinse stems with clean water to remove any debris from shipping.
  5. Remove lower leaves. Strip any foliage that will sit below the water line.
  6. Cut stems. Recut stems at an angle using a sharp knife or garden shears.
  7. Place in clean water. Immediately place stems in fresh water.
  8. Grouping tip. If you have limited buckets, group greenery with greenery, and keep similar stem types together (taller vs shorter).
  9. Humidity helps. Most greenery benefits from light misting to maintain freshness, especially in dry environments.
  10. Keep cool. Store in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight and heat.
  11. Maintenance. Change water every 2–3 days and refresh cuts as needed.
