CARE AND PREPARATION – PEONIES
DIY Bulk Flower Guide

Peonies are delicate, seasonal flowers that require standard preparation and proper timing to achieve their best bloom. Please follow these steps carefully upon receiving your flowers:

Unpack immediately. Remove the flowers from the box as soon as they arrive.
Remove outer packaging. Take off all outer packaging and protective sleeves.
Remove lower leaves. Strip off any foliage that would sit below the water line to keep the water clean and reduce bacteria.
Prepare clean water. Fill a clean bucket or vase with fresh water. Add floral food and stir until fully dissolved.
Trim the stems. Cut approximately 1–2 inches off the stems at an angle using sharp floral shears or a sharp knife.
Hydrate properly. Place stems immediately into water and keep them in a cool area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Expect variation in bloom stage. Peonies are often shipped with a mix of more open and tighter buds. Some flowers will require more time to open than others.
Understand natural loss. It is normal for approximately 5–10% of stems to remain too tight and not fully open. This is a standard characteristic of peonies and not considered a quality issue.
Manage bloom timing. Once peonies begin to open, they should be moved to a cooler or colder environment to slow down blooming. Tighter buds can remain at room temperature longer to encourage opening.
Daily care. Change the water regularly and re-cut stems as needed to maintain freshness.

Cancellations & Modifications
No cancellations, reductions, or modifications are accepted within two (2) weeks of the scheduled delivery date.

Delivery & Preparation
Flowers are delivered farm-packed, untrimmed, and uncleaned, exactly as received from the grower. Standard preparation is required prior to use.

Natural Variation
As a natural product, variations in color, shade, bloom size, and openness may occur and may differ from screen images.

Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice, particularly during peak holiday periods or periods of limited availability.

Payment Terms
Full payment is required prior to delivery.

Sales Policy
All sales are final. Returns, exchanges, or refunds are not accepted, including in cases of over-ordering, unused flowers, or change of mind.

Natural Loss Allowance
As flowers are shipped directly from the farm, a natural loss of approximately 5–10% may occur due to transport and handling. This is considered standard within the floral industry.
