Liatris are hardy, long-lasting flowers that require standard preparation. Please follow these steps carefully upon receiving your flowers:

Unpack immediately. Remove the flowers from the box as soon as they arrive.
Remove outer packaging. Take off all outer packaging and protective sleeves.
Remove lower foliage. Strip off the lower leaves from the stems so that no foliage sits below the water line. This helps keep the water clean and reduces bacteria.
Rinse the stems. Removing the foliage can leave residue on the stems and make the water cloudy. It is recommended to rinse the stems with clean water before placing them in the vase or bucket.
Prepare clean water. Fill a clean bucket or vase with fresh water. Add floral food and stir until fully dissolved.
Trim the stems. Cut approximately 1–2 inches off the stems at an angle using sharp floral shears or a sharp knife.
Hydrate properly. Place stems immediately into water and keep them in a cool area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Allow blooms to open naturally. Liatris blooms gradually open from the top of the spike downward, which is normal and part of their natural development.
Daily care. Change the water regularly and re-cut stems as needed to maintain freshness.
